The Queen Mothers Foundation, in collaboration with the Agrihouse Foundation, has underscored the pressing need to promote youth engagement in agriculture through the implementation of appropriate policies, provision of skills access, fostering innovation, and leveraging modern technologies. They have highlighted the prevalent misconception among young people regarding agriculture, often viewing it as a task relegated to the elderly or as a form of punishment, and stressed the importance of altering this perception to recognize the vast opportunities within the agricultural sector.

The upcoming Gathering of the Royals event, organized by the Agrihouse Foundation, seeks to address gender equality in agriculture and celebrate the contributions of women in the sector. Bringing together over 300 queenmothers and women in agriculture from across Ghana, the event aims to facilitate discussions on sustainable farming practices and ways to enhance women's participation in agribusiness.

The Agrihouse Foundation has already initiated various programs, including boot camps and support schemes, benefiting thousands of students and young entrepreneurs in agribusiness. They emphasize the necessity of collaborating with the government to enact policies facilitating financial support for agriculture, thus attracting more young professionals to the sector.

Moreover, the Foundation underscores the significance of providing skill training, access to finance, technology, and motivation to empower youth in agriculture. They also recognize the critical importance of maintaining peace and security, particularly in farming communities, to ensure economic growth and sustainable development in the agricultural sector.

The commitment of the Queen Mothers Foundation to collaborate with the Agrihouse Foundation underscores the importance of community-driven change and a collaborative environment to revolutionize the agricultural sector in Ghana, ultimately paving the way for a brighter future for all stakeholders involved.
