MTN FA Cup Chairman Wilson Arthur Eyes Increased Revenue through TV and Radio Rights

Chairman of the MTN FA Cup Committee, Wilson Arthur, says they hope to raise more revenue for the cup competition this season through radio and TV rights.

According to him, having enough revenue in the domestic competition will help improve it and also allow more patronage than in previous years.

StarTimes were rights holders of the FA Cup but their contract with the Ghana Football Association came to an end following the completion of the 2023/24 season.

"This year, we are hoping that there will be radio rights, there will be TV rights so all those will bring in some revenue," said Arthur on the sidelines at the GFA's 30th Ordinary Congress.

"All the matches will be promoted. Football is showbiz; when you don't promote it and you just show up and play, it's not the same. So we will improve on the promotion of the matches and players so they feel like stars and perform like stars."

Nsoatreman clinched the 2023/24 FA Cup trophy last season beating Bofoakwa Tano in the final at the University of Ghana Stadium.
