In an expression of gratitude and admiration, the Acting President of the Western Regional House of Chiefs, serving as the voice of the House, lauded Dr. Bawumia's humility and reverence towards traditional authority.

In his discourse with the esteemed traditional rulers, Dr. Bawumia delineated his vision for the nation, elucidating on his intention to amend the Chieftaincy Act should he secure victory in the upcoming 2024 elections. Dr. Bawumia elaborated on the necessity of empowering traditional leaders, particularly in matters concerning local judicial affairs. Such empowerment, he contended, would not only elevate the stature of the Chieftaincy institution but also alleviate the burden of local disputes inundating the formal legal system.
