Nigerian Singer Gnewzy Kidnapped in Delta State

Goodnews Emuemu, popularly known as Gnewzy, a Nigerian singer signed to Eric Many Records, has been kidnapped in Delta State. The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday, April 29, 2024, as Gnewzy was returning from a show.
Accompanied by his manager, Obas9ice, they were intercepted on Eklat Road in Ughelli by armed men disguised as police officers. Gnewzy was forcibly taken, while his manager narrowly escaped the same fate.
The kidnappers have demanded a ransom of $200,000 for Gnewzy's release. They sent an email to the record label, threatening to harm him if the ransom is not paid within seven days. The email warned against involving the police or marking the money, under the threat of violence.
