NDC Bolsters Campaign Efforts in Volta Region with 74 Motorbikes
National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Volta Region strengthens its campaign activities with the acquisition of 74 motorbikes ahead of the general elections.
In preparation for the upcoming general elections, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Volta Region has received a significant boost with the acquisition of 74 motorbikes to bolster its campaign activities. Former President and flag bearer, John Dramani Mahama, spearheaded the initiative by providing 54 of the motorbikes, while entrepreneur and party stalwart, Gabriel Tanko Kwamigah-Atokple, generously donated 20.
The presentation ceremony, held at the party's regional headquarters in Ho-Alai, saw the National Vice-Chairman of the NDC, Professor Joshua Alabi, handing over the motorbikes to Regional Chairman Mawutor Agbavitor. Prof. Alabi emphasized the Volta Region's pivotal role as the NDC's stronghold, urging party members to maintain unity and work tirelessly towards securing victory in the upcoming elections.
The timely delivery of the motorbikes precedes the commencement of the limited voter registration exercise, strategically addressing transportation challenges during campaign activities. Mr. Kwamigah-Atokple underscored the importance of unity and determination, symbolized by the motorbikes, in engaging voters and amplifying the party's message across communities.
Expressing optimism for a resounding victory, Mr. Kwamigah-Atokple encouraged party faithfuls not to be discouraged by setbacks but to persevere in their efforts to bring about positive change. Meanwhile, Mawutor Agbavitor acknowledged the daunting electoral contest ahead and called upon other party members to follow the exemplary lead of the flag bearer and Mr. Tanko by contributing resources to the campaign.
Assurances from key party officials, including Regional Secretary James Gunu and Regional Treasurer Daniel Agboka Dzegede, underscored the readiness of the NDC for vigorous electioneering activities. Furthermore, plans for a GH¢10 million fundraising campaign in the region aim to further strengthen the party's campaign machinery in the weeks to come.
