In a recent campaign tour to the Western Region, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), emphasized the pivotal role of the clergy in shaping society. Encouraging religious leaders to utilize their pulpits for societal transformation, he underscored the enduring significance of Ghana beyond transient political agendas.

"Politicians come and go, but Ghana remains," stated Vice-President Bawumia, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding the nation's future from the vagaries of political expediency. He advocated for unity, tolerance, and harmony as indispensable elements for national progress.

Highlighting the substantial contributions of religious institutions in education, healthcare, and societal welfare, Bawumia expressed his vision for fostering a golden age of collaboration between the government and faith-based organizations. He emphasized the need to recognize and incentivize the significant role of religious groups in national development.

Bishop Emmanuel Botwe of the Network of Ministers in the Western Region echoed the call for religious tolerance, emphasizing its crucial role in fostering national cohesion. The Western Regional Minister, Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah, commended the religious community for their contributions to peace and development in the region, urging support for Bawumia and NPP candidates in the upcoming elections to sustain progress.
