The New Force Movement has recently unveiled a digital fundraising platform known as "SaveGhanaFund" to spearhead financial backing for its 2024 campaign. This initiative aims to foster inclusivity and empower citizens in determining their governance, underlining transparency through a real-time dashboard displaying all monetary inflows.
At the launch event held in Accra last Monday, Nana Kwame Bediako, the movement's Founder, kickstarted the fund with a donation of GH¢500,000 as seed capital. Bediako emphasized that the fund's purpose was to revolutionize political principles and the nation's governance structure.
In his call for donations, Bediako urged citizens, especially the youth, to recognize their role in shaping leadership dynamics. He emphasized the significance of supporting the movement financially as a proactive measure, rather than passively awaiting benefits before casting votes.
Bediako articulated his preference for a leadership model built on citizen contributions and voices rather than the traditional practice of exchanging money for votes. He stressed the collective responsibility of the populace in nurturing political ideals and decisions, advocating for a paradigm shift towards a more inclusive political landscape.
Expressing gratitude, Bediako acknowledged the invaluable guidance and support received from chiefs and queenmothers, acknowledging their pivotal role in refining the movement's vision.
