Lil Win's Management Denies Neglecting Victims of Fatal Accident

The management of Kumawood actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, has denied allegations that they neglected victims of a tragic accident involving the actor over the weekend. The incident, which occurred on Saturday morning at Amakom, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti region, resulted in the death of a three-year-old boy who was struck along with his father.

In a press release, Wezzy Empire, Lil Win’s management team, expressed their dismay over the accusations, labeling them as “distasteful and disturbing.” They clarified that their awareness of the accident’s severity was delayed due to the serious injuries sustained by Lil Win, his manager, and his bouncer.

The statement highlighted that Lil Win’s manager is still hospitalized, while the actor himself is recovering from injuries, and the bouncer awaits a surgical review. Wezzy Management conveyed their profound sorrow over the child’s death and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, but firmly rejected the allegations of neglect.

"We are deeply saddened by the tragic death of a three-year-old boy who was involved in the gruesome accident and we extend our sincere condolences to the bereaved family," the statement read. They called for public support and prayers for the recovery of those injured and expressed confidence that ongoing police investigations would clarify the facts surrounding the incident.

The accident has drawn significant attention, especially following the funeral of the young victim, Nana Yaw, who was buried on Tuesday. Reports indicate that Lil Win was driving at high speed and collided with the vehicle carrying Nana Yaw and his father, Jacob Kofi Ampomah. The victims were initially rushed to a nearby hospital before being transferred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, where the child succumbed to his injuries.

Mr. Ampomah, who sustained a leg fracture, received treatment in the hospital’s emergency unit. Meanwhile, the severely damaged vehicle involved in the crash is currently held by the police as part of their investigation.

A relative of the deceased has suggested the family is contemplating legal action. In an interview, a team member from Lil Win’s camp, Zola, recounted that the accident occurred as Lil Win tried to avoid a crowd at a traffic intersection. According to Zola, Lil Win accelerated when the light turned green, swerved to avoid a tricycle, and subsequently collided with another vehicle.

The unfolding situation remains under police scrutiny as the community awaits further developments.
