Tragic Incident at Jirapa Safari Resort: Owner Eric Johnson Fatally Attacked

The proprietor of the safari retreat in Jirapa in the Upper West Region, commonly known as "Jirapa Dubai," has passed away.
Eric Johnson was allegedly fatally stabbed on Saturday night, as per information obtained by Graphic Online.
Eric Johnson recently erected the Royal Comfort Hills Lodge, affectionately dubbed Jirapa Dubai, in the Upper West Region.
It features a 4-kilometer wildlife reserve housing a variety of animals, including zebras. The resort also boasts an artificial lake with fish and water-based activities such as Jet Skiing.
Graphic Online has learned that Eric Johnson was assaulted by unidentified attackers on Saturday night [Feb 10] and fatally stabbed.
The incident has sparked widespread public discourse.
Eric Johnson, a businessperson, expressed that his decision to construct the safari retreat in Jirapa was aimed at generating employment opportunities in the area and promoting tourism to bolster the local economy.
In a statement released Sunday afternoon, the police disclosed that one suspect has been apprehended.
The police mentioned that Eric Johnson was discovered lying in a pool of blood in one of the hotel rooms at the Royal Comfort Hills Lodge.
The Inspector-General of Police reportedly dispatched a team of investigators and specialists, led by the Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), to collaborate with the Upper West Regional Police Command in conducting a comprehensive inquiry into the incident.
