Managing Director of the Ghana Stock Exchange, Abena Amoah

The Ghana Stock Exchange issued a detailed disclaimer on February 23, 2024, refuting any association between their Managing Director, Ms. Abena Amoah, and her alleged appointment as Co-Chair of the manifesto committee on Economy within Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's manifesto team.

In the statement, the Ghana Stock Exchange unequivocally clarified that the individual identified as Abena Amoah in the manifesto team is not the same person as their Managing Director. They emphasized that Ms. Abena Amoah, who holds the position of Managing Director at the Ghana Stock Exchange, has not been approached nor engaged in any discussions or agreements regarding the aforementioned role within the campaign team.

Further underlining their commitment to maintaining a strictly apolitical stance, the Ghana Stock Exchange reiterated their primary objective of providing a neutral and robust platform for capital mobilization and investment. They assured all market operators, issuers, stakeholders, and the public at large that the Exchange and its leadership remain steadfast in their dedication to fulfilling their mandate for the economic benefit of Ghanaians and their international counterparts.
