Ghanaian Dance Duo Afronita and Abigail Secure Third Place in 2024 Britain's Got Talent

In a thrilling finale of the 2024 Britain’s Got Talent show, Ghanaian dance duo Afronita and Abigail clinched third place after a series of electrifying performances. On Sunday, June 2, the duo donned bright Ghanaian colors, delivering a performance that left the audience and judges in awe, securing a spot in the top three out of ten finalists. Afronita and Abigail have garnered immense support from Ghanaians both at home and abroad, celebrating their remarkable journey and success in the competition.

The ten finalists of this season included a diverse range of acts such as a choir, a magician, and a Japanese skipping group. Sydnie Christmas emerged as the winner, followed by Jack Rhodes in second place, with dancers Abigail and Afronita taking third. The judges of the ITV show—Simon Cowell, Bruno Tonioli, Alesha Dixon, and Amanda Holden—alongside hosts Ant and Dec, returned for one last time this series.

The winner of the 17th series of Britain’s Got Talent, Sydnie Christmas, received a cash prize of £250,000 and the opportunity to perform at the Royal Variety Performance. Overwhelmed with emotion, Christmas expressed her gratitude, saying, "I don't know what to say, I cannot believe the amount of love that I've felt. I am overwhelmed with love and it's the most amazing thing and I wish every person in this room feels the way I do with this love, it's amazing, thank you so much."
