The Mahama 2024 campaign has revealed a robust lineup of youth-oriented activities set to take place on Monday, August 12th, in commemoration of International Youth Day. The series of events, spearheaded by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer John Dramani Mahama, reflect his commitment to engaging with the younger generation and addressing their pressing concerns.
According to a statement released by the Mahama campaign team, the day’s activities will kick off with the official launch of the NDC Youth Manifesto at the University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA). This manifesto is expected to outline Mahama's comprehensive strategies and promises tailored to empower Ghanaian youth, with a focus on tackling critical issues such as unemployment, education, and skills development.
In a move to foster direct dialogue with the youth, Mahama will also host a special Mahama Youth Town Hall Meeting in the evening at the Bukom Boxing Arena. This event will provide an interactive platform for young Ghanaians to engage with Mahama, allowing them to voice their concerns and discuss his policy proposals aimed at reducing youth unemployment and promoting entrepreneurial initiatives.
The statement, signed by Mahama’s aide Joyce Bawah Mogtari, emphasized that these initiatives are integral to Mahama’s broader vision of “Building the Ghana we want together.” The campaign underscores Mahama’s belief in the critical role of the youth in shaping the future of Ghana and his commitment to creating pathways for their success.
