The University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) has honoured Francis Dadzie, former Executive Director of the Advertising Association of Ghana (AAG), for his outstanding contribution and dedication to advancing the advertising industry. The honour was bestowed upon Mr. Dadzie at the 7th edition of the UPSA Classic Awards, held in Accra. This annual campus-based awards gala is organized to recognize distinguished individuals and students who have excelled in their respective fields.

The citation accompanying the award highlighted Mr. Dadzie's unwavering commitment to the AAG and his role as a beacon of inspiration and transformation within Ghana’s business landscape. Since assuming the role of Executive Director in 1999, Mr. Dadzie has epitomized leadership and innovation, driving positive changes within the industry. "Under his stewardship, the AAG has undergone a remarkable metamorphosis, evolving from a trade association to a professional body of distinction," the citation noted.

Currently serving as the President of the UPSA Global Alumni, Mr. Dadzie continues to inspire and empower future leaders by spearheading initiatives such as the UPSA Police Station project. The citation celebrated his unparalleled achievements and enduring legacy, extending heartfelt appreciation for his visionary leadership, exemplary service, and unwavering commitment to excellence.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Dadzie expressed gratitude to the UPSA student body for recognizing his efforts and the impact he has made in various positions. Reflecting on his time at the institution, then known as the Institute of Professional Studies (IPS), he remarked on the significant developments that have taken place since his days as a student.

"I will, therefore, advise you (students) to take your studies seriously and remain disciplined in order for you to achieve greatness," Mr. Dadzie said, emphasizing the importance of honesty and integrity in all endeavors.
