Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club's head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, has pointed out the challenging conditions his team faced prior to their match against Legon Cities in the Ghana Premier League.

Speaking to disgruntled fans at the Dawu Park following Hearts of Oak's 2-0 loss to Legon Cities, Ouattara addressed the team's struggles, attributing the defeat partially to inadequate preparation.

"Yesterday at the hotel, we did not have electricity or water," Ouattara revealed during the post-match interaction.

The loss marks Hearts of Oak's fourth defeat in five league games, with their only recent victory being a 3-1 win against Karela, which halted their previous losing streak.

Despite the commendable performance of 21-year-old academy product Hamza Issah, who has scored 11 goals in 21 league games this season, Hearts of Oak has struggled to maintain consistency.

Currently positioned 10th in the 18-team league standings, Hearts of Oak faces pressure to secure favorable results to maintain their rank. Meanwhile, their bitter rivals, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, sit just below them in 11th place with 33 points. Kotoko is scheduled to play against Samartex on Saturday, adding further intrigue to the league dynamics.

As Hearts of Oak navigates through their challenges, fans eagerly await their response in the upcoming fixtures, hoping for an improvement in both performance and conditions.
