In a statement signed by the National Communications Officer of the party, Sammy Gyamfi, it was announced that the event would be graced by former President Mahama, members of the functional executive committee, and distinguished guests from various sectors including the diplomatic corps, clergy, academia, civil society organizations, and more.
The highlight of the event will be an address by the NDC's running mate, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang, who will articulate the party's vision and life-transforming policies for the nation. Prof. Opoku-Agyemang, known for her integrity and longstanding association with the NDC since 1996, brings a wealth of experience to the forefront.
The statement further outlined a series of activities preceding the main program, running from 4:00 p.m. to 4:55 p.m., with the official commencement slated for 5:00 p.m. Media houses intending to cover the event were urged to contact the National Communications Bureau of the NDC for accreditation.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang's journey with the NDC dates back to her hosting of the popular Radio Gold program, 'Platform,' in 1996, where she interviewed then-President Jerry John Rawlings. She later co-hosted the 2012 presidential debates sponsored by the Institute of Economic Affairs.
