The Minister of State at the Ministry of Finance, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, expressed optimism about Ghana's economic recovery during his speech at the GCB Platinum Thought Leadership Conference in Accra. He highlighted several key economic indicators to support his assertion, including a decline in inflation to 23.2 per cent, a relatively strong performance of the Ghana Cedi with a depreciation of 7.2 per cent between February and December 2023, and an overall real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth of 2.8 per cent for the first three quarters of the previous year.

Dr. Adam emphasized that these indicators signal that the sacrifices made by the government and the citizens are yielding positive economic returns, indicating that Ghana has turned the corner in its economic trajectory.

He also underscored the government's commitment to restoring macroeconomic stability and fostering a more equitable and conducive business environment. Dr. Adam called upon the private sector to be innovative and strategic in their investments to drive further growth.

In addition to Dr. Adam, notable attendees at the conference included Ambassador D. K. Osei, Prof. Ernest Aryeetey, Prof. William Baah-Boateng, and Felix Addo, among others.

Dr. Ernest Addison, the Governor of the Bank of Ghana, commended GCB for its consistent delivery of financial solutions and stellar customer service, noting the bank's steadfastness to its clients.
