Fiifi Coleman Productions is set to premiere their new play "PRISON GRADUATES," a satire by the Late Efo Kojo Mawugbe, on July 26 and 27 at the National Theatre of Ghana.
After thrilling us with sold-out plays such as “Dilemma of a Ghost,” “The SLAVES,” and “Sons and Daughters,” Fiifi Coleman Productions is set to wow audiences with their new play, “PRISON GRADUATES.”
The play, written by the Late Efo Kojo Mawugbe and directed by Fiifi Coleman, stars seasoned actresses like Naa Ashorkor, Mavis Abrokwah, Jacqueline Ama Ansah, and Queen Grace Adjetey. “PRISON GRADUATES” will open on the 26th of July at 8 pm and 27th of July at 4 pm and 8 pm at the National Theatre of Ghana.
“PRISON GRADUATES” is a satire about four prisoners who were granted presidential amnesty but are torn between accepting the pardon or staying in jail as they juxtapose current crises in the economy with the conditions in jail. They question what’s out there that will stop them from going back to their criminal past.
“It’s been a long time coming. I have waited for 8 years to produce this play because of the messages it carries,” says Coleman.
Patrons can expect an immersive experience, which includes lots of feet-stomping and rib-cracking laughter. The play is supported by Duchess Merchant Capital and 4UK and Worldwide Visas, Ghana.
